Our History
Appleshaw Village Hall opened in 1995, purpose built to serve the needs of the village and wider community of the surrounding area. It replaced the old Church Hall in the village, which for 85 years was the focus of village social activities.

Location
The Hall nestles between the village of Appleshaw and the hamlet of Ragged Appleshaw and  is situated on the edge of the well-kept and tree lined  John Ward Playing Field – an “outdoor room” unique to our Hall and envied by many others. The playing field is flanked by paddocks and farmland with views to the wooded horizon beyond.

The peaceful, pretty villages and hamlets of the parish with their abundance of wildlife, birdsong and countryside views provide a quintessentially English experience.

The Hall
A wonderful venue for family celebrations, wedding receptions, live entertainment and business functions as well as supporting the popular use of the playing field. The Hall faces south with 3 double doors leading out onto the verandah and direct access to the playing field. Inside the main hall is decorated in a soft cream colour creating a calm ambience and smart background for your event. The hall is licensed for 170 guests and is able to seat 150 at tables or 100 in theatre style seating.
